Dr Charles Kalei
General Practitioner
Dr Charles Kalei is an experienced General Practitioner who has served the Kingston SE community for many years. Well known for his longstanding commitment to rural healthcare, he provides continuity of care that many patients and families have come to rely on.
He holds admitting rights to Kingston Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and participates in the local on-call roster.

Dr Alex Wells
GP Registrar
Dr Alex Wells is a GP Registrar providing care at Kingston Medical Centre and via telehealth services through Robe Nursing Services.
In addition to general practice and telehealth work, he provides on-call emergency care and in-patient services to Kingston Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
He is currently working towards fellowship as a Rural Generalist with Advanced Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Dr Wells has a particular interest in:
- Women’s Health
- Men’s Health
- Mental Health
- Management of chronic and complex medical conditions
- Acute presentations and emergency medicine
He also holds an Associate Membership (Cert) through RANZCOG, enabling him to provide Obstetric shared care, as well as the Intermediate Emergency Medicine Training Program qualification through the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) to support emergency patients at Kingston Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
Prior to studying medicine, Dr. Wells spent 17 years working as an Intensive Care Paramedic with SA Ambulance Service, now bringing extensive frontline emergency and critical care experience to this rural community. Between 2016 and 2018, he also served as the Limestone Coast Community Paramedic, supporting healthcare delivery in the region.
Dr Wells is passionate about delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and families across all stages of life. In his spare time, he likes to hit up the mountain bike trails in Robe and spend precious time with his wife and 2 young children.

Dr Samuel Clements
Visiting General Practitioner
Dr Samuel Clements is a visiting General Practitioner who provides regular clinics in Kingston. Having grown up locally, he maintains a strong connection to the region and brings fellowship-level rural generalist skills to the community.
He works from his base clinic in Victor Harbor and travels to Kingston for in-person consultations, and also offers telehealth support through Robe Nursing Services.
