Skin Cancer Care
Our Registered Nurse has completed a Professional Certificate in Clinical Dermoscopy and is now offering comprehensive full-body skin checks.
Using dermoscopy, our RN can assess your skin, provide education on skin cancer prevention and early detection, and arrange follow-up with one of our GPs if any areas require further assessment.
What we provide
- Full-body skin checks and mole assessment
- Dermoscopy for detailed examination of suspicious lesions
- Biopsy and histopathological analysis of suspicious spots
- Minor surgical removal of skin cancers and lesions
- Referral to dermatologists or surgeons for complex cases
- Sun safety education and preventative advice
- Management of actinic keratoses (sun damage)
Who is this for?
Anyone — especially those who work outdoors, have a history of sun exposure, or have a personal or family history of skin cancer. Annual skin checks are recommended for high-risk individuals.
What to expect
A skin check involves a full examination of your skin by your GP or qualified Registered Nurse. You will be asked to undress to your underwear for a thorough check. If a suspicious lesion is found, your GP will discuss the options — which may include a biopsy, removal, or referral. Results from biopsies are explained at a follow-up appointment.
