Our goal at Limestone Coast Health Unit Trust is to always provide our patients with high quality, valued healthcare by highly skilled, dedicated and experience professionals in a well equipped and comfortable facility
Our practice strongly believe everyone deserves to have access to high-quality healthcare regardless of their financial situation
Our practice is a combination of Private Billing and Bulk Billing
‘Private Billing’ means that the patient will pay the GP’s fee in full. The patient will then receive the relevant patient rebate from Medicare for the service, subsidising part of the fee they were charged. This means the patient has an out of pocket expense – a ‘GAP’ fee
HCC Health Care Card holders will be billed at a discounted rate
‘Bulk Billing’ means the patient does not have to pay for their medical service from a health professional. Our practice will bill Medicare instead and we accept the Medicare benefit as full payment of the service.
Our practice will Bulk Bill the following:
Children 15 years and under
Pension card holders
Gold/White DVA card holders
SA Ambulance Volunteers (active)
Patients must provide a current Medicare Card or Pension Card/Healthcare Card or DVA Card
Cards must be sighted and details updated as necessary.
Bulk billing may also be offered outside of these guidelines on an individual basis at the doctor’s discretion. Patients in genuine hardship are encouraged to discuss their individual circumstances with their doctor.
