Our doctors play an active role in emergency care across the Limestone Coast, including participation in the on-call roster at Kingston Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. In a rural setting, having local doctors with emergency training is critical to community safety.
What we provide
- GPs with advanced emergency medicine training manage acute presentations
- On-call availability to support Kingston Soldiers' Memorial Hospital emergency department
- Assessment and stabilisation of serious conditions prior to transfer where required
- Coordination with SA Ambulance Service and specialist retrieval teams
- Dr Alex Wells holds the IEMTP qualification through ACEM and is working towards Rural Generalist fellowship with Emergency Medicine Advanced Specialist Training

This service is for patients experiencing urgent or acute medical conditions requiring immediate assessment and treatment.
